Default Did you act, or just wring your hands?

I just got off the phone voicing my opposition to the Frist bill. I used the links above to find my Senators numbers. It took me about 5 minutes total.

If you think your call doesn't matter, you are WRONG. For each call an elected official gets, they figure there are about (random number here, I don't remember the formula, say 5,000) 5,000 other people who feel the same way. If they get 200 phone calls/e mails opposing the bill and 3 supporting, guess which way they will lean?

YOUR CALL MATTERS.

I thank all the other posters who clued me in about this.

Please call, then please add to this post only when you've done your part.

Bump---

Not one response? No one else called?

A voice in the wilderness.

Can I encourage at least one person to act here?

Please people, this matters.

I think the lack of response to this thread is mostly due to the fact that its about the 500th time someone has posted this in the zoo.

I appreciate your fervor but you can't expect a lot of response to something when those who will likely act on this already have done so, and those who've ignored all the other posts on the subject are likely to ignore yours as well.

Pretty sure my chances of convincing one of my senators are slim. I just don't think Bill Frist is interested in listening to my opinion on his bill.

In the same vein as MicroBob,

There is no way in HELL I'm going to convince Nevada Senators to do anything other than support this bill.
