QQ on WPX
I'm playing a 2/4 game on WPX.
The BB is a player I see all the time on WPX, and he's never out of line that I can see. His name is Satyre (or something like that, I don't remember the exact spelling). I'm UTG with QQ and raise. Button calls. BB calls. Flop : K52 rainbow check, I bet, button folds, BB calls. (standard play) HU on the turn: K52 (5) BB bets into me. Now what? I called. River: K525 (2). BB bets. Now What? Thanks for your help. -MD |

Re: QQ on WPX
I think you can fold the turn. But this isn't the appropriate forum for 2/4 hands.

Re: QQ on WPX
You don't beat top pair and you don't beat second pair. Fold the turn.

Re: QQ on WPX
Thanks guys.
I just imagined myself in his shoes and thought I might play 66-JJ the same way. He could have checked the flop because he's afraid of the king, and then bet the turn because he's afraid of more overs comming once it was HU. Since I didn't raise the turn, he might have bet TT or JJ for value on the river. Anything wrong with this reasoning? I posted this hand in this forum because in my experience the players on WPX can be pretty tough at 2/4, and I'm not exactly a new player myself. Thanks again for the input. -MD |
