Default Top two, semi deep tough spot

Easy, main villain in this hand is 38/13/2.5. He has shown a tendency to stack off with top pair, but playing them passively against lots of aggression. He has also been calling large bets with gutshot draws but I haven't seen him play a draw aggressively yet. BB is a solid player, I know he at least lurks on this forum, we have played a fair few hands together and he knows I'll lead here with a widish range, at the same time I know he could therefore be playing back with any piece. I'm playing at about 20/12 but I'm not sure villain is good enough to notice.

NL $100 6-max
I have $170 main villain covers, BB has $100.

Villain limps UTG, I complete in SB with 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB checks

Flop: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I lead for $3, BB raises to $9, Villain raises to $18 - I???

Given your read seems like an easy fold? He pretty much always has 22 here. Occasionally he's coolered you w/ 88/99. Ocassionally he makes you fold a split. Doesn't sound great eh.
