Fire 2 Barrels or Take a Free Card? (2/4NL 6max)
Taking a shot at 2/4, miraculously I didn't run terribly. Wasn't sure exactly what the best play was here. I have been raising and cbetting alot (built most of my stack w/o showdowns). The villain in this hand is the SB and he's been pretty loose-passive preflop, not so sure about his postflop play. He's 33/5/2 over 1200 hands. He's also multi-tabling (which always strikes me as a bit odd for a 33/5).
No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $2/$4 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $530.70 UTG+1: $320.00 Hero: $1156.38 Button: $586.79 SB: $361.40 BB: $529.60 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 folds, Hero raises to $14, Button calls, SB calls, BB folds. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($46, 3 players) SB checks, Hero bets $32, Button folds, SB calls. Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($110, 2 players) SB checks, Hero...? |

If you have 1200 hands look at what streets he's folding on and make a decision. vs a player with a low fold to cont bet I'd consider firing 2 barrels. There is value in the free card however as if villain had a K or a T he'll likely lead into you on the river when your draw hits.

I like a second-barrel here as you picked up more outs, and your hand has no showdown value.
If he's the type of loose-passive to call the turn with any draw and any decent piece, just take the free card as you don't have the folding equity to make up for the semi-bluff. |

[ QUOTE ]
take the free card [/ QUOTE ] Are you afraid of the free card, or think he has a hand that he thinks is good, or do you think he is the type to payoff big with Kx on the river? I would think a guy like this would often have T9, QJ, 99 type hands that isn't sure where it stands and he seems passive enough that a c/r is not a big concern. |

Re: Fire 2 Barrels or Take a Free Card? (2/4NL 6max)
Definately fire again. With a check/call on that board he probably has some weak second/third pair that was going to see what you did on the turn and probably fold to another round of aggression. If you do fire again on the turn and he calls, you'll have to fire again on the river if its not an A or 9 to fold out QJ.

I think your free card could end up being the end of you. I think he's on a draw more often than a made hand, so I like taking another shot here.

If you fire make it atleast 100 to fold out higher draws so you don't have to worry about bluffing them out on the river. If he CR's AI calling is neutral EV.
