SB checks, UTG+2 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, UTG+2 raises, Hero?

2 questions:

1. Good preflop?
2. I know, the pot is big, but how often does a seemingly passive villain c/raise the river with something I beat?

I think this hand is good and if all you have on UTG2 is stats I would also call the river. The 2's came runner-runner.

Preflop is meh. If the CO and Button are tight and UTG+1 and UTG+2 have shown that they are capable of folding hands, I migh consider a raise.

As far as the river goes, I call since all we have are stats over 35 hands. I think we're good here 1 out of 14 times. He could have slowplayed a flopped set or hit runner runner with 2x [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. If anything it will also give you some valuable information on this player.

Preflop is borderline i think.

On the river, I think your gonna be good enough of the time to warrant a call. Pot is too big to fold and like the last post stated your getting info on your opponnent to see if they slowplayed a set or limped in with TT.

PF: I'd call if the players yet to act are loose pf and don't raise much.

RIVER: I'd call in case he's pulling a move because the board paired.

PF I prefer to fold unless table conditions are right. K9 is not so good against two EP limpers and no position.

I'd prefer to see a turn before raising for protection because there are a lot of cards that could hurt you, and by raising the flop you are still lay opponents good odds.

River, is standard; you have the odds to call

imho i think your table dynamics are fine for playin that hand preflop.
but since you are in middle position id like to see a raise.
1 it will disguise your hand
2 k high may be good at this point
3 you can c bet those limpers with great success
4 they are too passive to punish you on later streets when they are ahead

now if you were on the button and known to raise is speculative hands id just call. but the dynamics of the table scream raise to me (a guy who switches gears from tag to tap all the freakin time)

raise preflop.

I'd call the river because no hand that beats us really makes sense and the pot is big.

Some of you guys would raise this preflop? This interests me. I'd usually fold it. Unless of course the table conditions made me think there would me more limpers and no raisers behind me...So, I'd use it as a drawing hand with these two limpers in from of me. I'd have to know more about them before I thought about isolating them both from MP3.

Flop looks pretty good, however, I think Warren Harding has an interesting point about looking at the turn before considering raising.

As for the river, you certainly look to be beaten by this apparently very passive opponent. However, with this pot I think you are ahead enough of the time to make a 'crying call' correct. You have a small sample size on this guy and don't have any reads. He might be 'making a move'. I think you should call here.
