Default The Grouch with Elevens on the Button

BB-23/12/1.75
UTG-12/5/2.1
MP1-34/3/.25
MP3-54/1/.1

3 limpers to the Grouch who raises A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]on the button. SB folds, BB calls, rest call.

Flop(5 playas for 10.5sb): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

It checks to MP1 who bets, MP3 raises, the Grouch mucks faster than you can say Sesame Street.

Anything to discuss?

Since MP1 and MP3 seem to be ultra-passive this is probably a good laydown.

You also have BB and UTG behind you to worry about, one of them could just be itchin to 3-bang it when it gets back to them.

Just why you don't flop good.

Easy fold in my opinion. If you are behind, you are probably way behind. And if ahead, are likely to get outdrawn very often. With those guys being so passive, I don't think you have much of a chance. And it's probably going to be expensive to find out.

Good lay down. I wasn't able to do this when I called down the BB on a similar board when she had 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Knowing when to lay down bullets is a sign of a maturing poker player.

This reminds me of a joke:

Guy is driving to work in the morning, hears a voice in his head. Voice whispers "Quit your job. Sell your house. Take all your money to Vegas."

Guy ignores it, same thing happens again the next day. Driving to work, voice in the head: "Quit your job. Sell your house. Take all your money to Vegas."

Guy ignores it again, but hears the whisper a third time the next day. So he does it. He quits his job. Sells his house. Takes all his money to Vegas.

When he lands at McCarran, voice whispers in his head: "Go to the Rio. Check in. Buy-in to the WSOP Main Event."

He does just that. Gets his seat assignment and sits down. Shuffle up and deal, first day of action. He folds a few hands.

Then he picks up A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in early position. Voice whispers in his head: "Go all in!"

He pushes (overbetting the pot 200x the BB). He gets called in 3 places. The flop comes 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

Voice in his head goes, "Oh crap."
