I was to have the image of a SCARY MOTHER[CENSORED].

This is so that my opponents will be scared [censored]less when they get involved in a hands with me.

I want a bulletproof image, where my opponents feel like when they tangle with me A) things are going to get expensive, fast and B) i'm going to come out on top most times, whether by winning UI or showing down the best hand. Running hot is the most basic way to establish this image, and once you've got it you can win more than your fair share of pots.

Since i'm probably too-weak postflop the last thing I want is the image of a "folder" or someone who can be pushed around. I do my best to adapt when this happens but it generally makes life hell.

Wouldn't I just want my image to be the complete opp. of how i really play? Like if i am lag i want everyone to think I am tight and fold to me. If i am a tight player i want people to call/play at me like im a loose idiot.

Now, I don't think that's the question you were asking but I think that's the only answer I can give without writing something then changing it and then changing it back like 15 times.

if i am tight i still want ppl to fold to me. i dont think its possible to make enough hands that we routinely want callers.

also, i think being percieved as tight will entice a lot of players not to fold to you. 1) they think they can outplay you and make you fold. 2)they put you on ak.

Victor,

my post was meant to be general, I think it gets the point across.

I agree with Victor. Having a tight image is great.

Yup, I agree as well. This does not mean that people will stop calling you down with bottom pair or checkraising you with top pair. That stuff will happen till the end of time. If people respect your bets, however, they will be less willing to play back at you with more marginal hands and draws, meaning you will be able to take down more pots with continuation bets and get more free cards when you don't. You will also be able to showdown marginal hands for cheaper.

I also want the image of someone who does not fold and is very difficult to play with. I want people folding to my preflop raises because I steal my ass off and usually have a marginal hand.
