Where is absolute paradise?? (Island paradise setting)
Ok... I've travelled a fair amount for a 22 year old all over the world but I haven't been to a ''paradise'' setting... I'm thinking an island with blue water etc... but not really the carribean or maybe the carribean but not a touristy place. Something secluded. Sunny weather every day... beutiful beaches. Very few people...
Where do I go? I'm thinking like a 5-7k budget for 2 people... some luxury but I don't need royal treatment. |

The Seychelles.
Warm, diving available, no poisonous spiders or snakes, friendly people and very little crime, pretty birds and wildlife, and out of the zone for monsoon, hurricanes etc |

Yes, I'd think somewhere in the Pacific/SE Asia would be more tourist free - well, American tourist-free - than somewhere in the Caribbean.
If you're not dead-set on being on an island, I've seen a couple shows about people moving to the coast of Honduras. Absolutely beautiful, cheap, etc. |

Re: Where is absolute paradise?? (Island paradise setting)
Second the Seychelles recommendation. Spent about 10K for 15 days there on my honeymoon (you could go cheaper) and would do it again in a heartbeat. Stayed on 3 islands: Mahe, La Digue, and Praslin.
Lodging on La Digue is kind of spotty, but the beaches there are absolutely insane, and the island has very little motorized traffic, which is kind of cool. Stayed at l'Archipel on Praslin and loved it. Excellent food, beach, and amenities. Also, although we didn't enjoy Mahe as much, we did like our lodging there at the Sunset Beach hotel. Small private bungalow, and nice secluded beach. Spent a bunch of time there snorkeling in the indian ocean. |
