The Ace always comes...and villain seems to like it
*sigh* I should know this one, really. It's pretty basic. But, since I seem to be getting my ass handed to me on a regular basis, maybe it's time to ask some basic questions.
Only 35 hands on villain. So far he seems TAG, statwise, but the few hands that he's shown are pretty trashy - QJo, J3o, stuff like that. Obviously, based on the contradiction, my sample size is junk Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Hero ($112.10) Button ($95) SB ($83.66) BB ($24.06) UTG ($118.80) Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50. 1 fold, Hero raises to $6, Button calls $6, SB (poster) calls $5.50, 1 fold. Flop: ($19) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets $20, Hero calls $20, Button calls $20. Turn: ($79) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets $57.66 (All-In), Hero..........? Any thoughts on raising or folding on the flop? And what the hell do I do on the turn? Is this always an Ace or am I going to be seeing other stuff often enough to make this worth calling down against a relatively unknown villain? |

Really obvious turn fold. Your hoping he has what KsQs? I think I might just let the flop go, I really don't like that full-pot bet into me.

Fold the flop. I would fold the flop by default even it was heads up, but 3 way it's a clear fold.

I fold the flop. It's less likely he is bluffing when it's a 3-way flop.

So in other words, the ace is unlike your girlfriend.
Yeah, with two opponents you can safely fold the flop with confidence that it's higher EV to get out than to find out if your underpair is good. And that turn is a turbo-muck, obv. |
