Forum announcement. Please read
Due to a variety of issues, we have been notified by 2+2 that they have decided to close the affiliates/rakeback forum. Effective October 1st, they will be creating sponsored support forums that will be available to those who are willing to pay for them. Feel free to ask questions that you have, but most will need to be fielded by 2+2.
Regards, A/R Team |

Re: Forum announcement. Please read
I thought this already was a sponsored forum that you obtained because you were willing to pay for it.
So I'm pretty sure I'm not understanding the distinction. Some elaboration perhaps?? I also wonder if this means the abolishment of the IB forum. I've started a thread about this in the 'about the forums' forum as well. |

Re: Forum announcement. Please read
This is a sponsored forum, and we did pay for it. The distinction, from my understanding, is that there will no longer be an affiliates/rakeback forum, sponsored or unsponsored. Rather, there will be site support forums.
Example: RakeTracker buys a site support forum. In this forum, we would troubleshoot problems, or answer questions about promotions or sites offered. We would not be able to discuss other sites or other promotions, nor would we be able to resell ads in our forum. That is the new arrangement as I understand it. If it is incorrect, I am sure that 2+2 admin will correct me. Cup |

Re: Forum announcement. Please read
so you can't have a discussion comparing various AR forums??
And you can't talk about a specific rakeback situation or group unless they advertise here/get their own forum? And each rakeback site that wants permission to be discussed here has to have their own specific forum?? If 5 rakeback sites decide to do this we would have 5 different forums to discuss each specific one? All this sounds really weird and I really hope your understanding of this is incorrect. Although 2+2 may implement something like this AND also have a general A/R forum of their own as well. I guess we'll just wait to see how the changes look. Asking the actual 2+2'ers who use such forums and rakeback programs about what they would think of these kinds of changes would be a nice gesture though imo. |

Me too. I think this is a shame. Hopefully whatever they're planning to replace it with will be cool but I'm not too hopefull.
