Then it's a super easy call.

With your read it just becomes a SNGPT thing and an easy call.

I don't want to switch stacks with shortie. I'm still deep enough to threaten big stack with a push next hand, but if I lose this, he'll eat me up with any two.

[/ QUOTE ] No. You can't pass up this kind of edge here. You are forgetting that this kid will be probably be pushing next hand or the other guys in front of him will. Super odds + any2 = instacall. |

Re: $114 I don\'t really want to call but think I need to
You have to be quite sure that's his range (100%) because once you start slipping down that % ladder it becomes quite close. Plus, as a general rule I prefer making "close" pushes rather than "close" calls. You've got the read though and if its indeed 100% then, yeah call.
I don't have SNGPT but I think when you get down just a little off 100% it gets yucky...At a 114 though I wouldn't be surprised if SB were playing pretty correctly though. |

Peter Yugoslavian and John Nash call without a read.

It is really really close (if he is pushing like 65%). I'd probably fold but it is an ez call if he could be on any 2 cards.

Re: $114 I don\'t really want to call but think I need to
ICM gives me 21% equity for folding, 13.6% for calling and losing, 31.3% for calling and winning.
(13.6+31.3)/2 = 22.45 >> 21 Blimey. Are the table dynamics and stack positions important enough to make up for this? If I can push into BB next hand, I will have 23.3% equity. So if I think there is an approx 2/3 chance of successfully pushing my next hand, I'm more or less ambivalent between pushing and calling (I'm giving up 1.5% to gain 2.3% x2/3). If I include the chance of another shortie busting before I next hit the blinds ... I don't think I would make this call without a much deeper stack. |
