Default Requests, Changes for HSP Next Season...

Any comments as to what can be done to realistically improve HSP? (season's over now).

Some thoughts...

Don't invite David Grey back. He's a world class player and a very nice guy IMO but continues to not only nit this game but disrupt it with not very interesting comments. Too much non interesting tv time. Nothing personal David, IMHO you add nothing to this show. Your a tight world class player and in this show, it shows.

Bring in more players like Daniel...(?)

Most of you feel he's a terrible NLHE player and often his play IS indefensable, I agree. I think he plays the way he does in large part because of 1. implied odds, 2. he's got 12 million in the bank and frankly 3.he simply enjoys being in a lot of pots (tv time?). Along with his 'bad play' (7-10 comes to mind) he HAS run bad...maybe a 1/2 a million $ swing? No excuse I guess if your considered a top pro(look at Barry) but at his age with millions available, maybe the 'TV time' is worth it to him. And he does get action. Many don't.

I feel some of the lineup should be changed. Post flop seems nitty and stale. Put the straddle on it _ALL_ of the time. Maybe get a couple of women to play.

Increase the buy in? Raise the blinds, ante?

Suggestions? Thank you.

Hopefully they always make an attempt to put a good mix of the looser and tighter players in each table lineup.

Requests for players I want to see:

1. Phil Ivey
2. Patrik Antonius
3. David Beyamine
4. Chau Giang
5. Chip Reese
6. Kenny The Kid

I'm not positive, but I could have SWORN I saw Dags in an episode hanging out in the background.

1. A 90 minute show?

~ As it is, an hour-long episode excluding adverts only has around 42/43 minutes worth of action. Two hour episodes might be great for hardcore fans but no way would that be a 16 episode run and GSN wouldn't allow it.

2. New blood.

~ Rumors of a small handful of wealthy amateurs bringing million dollar stacks into this ring game will surely get some of the big name pros to be less hesitant about taking part.

Some of us want the internet pros to have a shot. Some of us want more big name pros (the likes of Allen Cunningham, Chris Ferguson, Phil Ivey and Eric Seidel went to London to do Million Dollar Cash Game but was it of their own accord or did they make the trip because of Full Tilt's say-so?).

3. Don't talk over the players if you can help it.

~ As much as I like Gabe's commentary (even AJ to an extent as he's Gabe's foil), I'm missing some of the table talk that occurs. Much of it is irrelevant and probably uninteresting but I wanna hear it.

4. Sort out the props.

~ Yes, it's part of their game but props are generally alien to casual poker fans. Casual viewers can't root for props and it takes viewers out of the game. Sort it out.

5. More hands shown during an episode.

~ It's an unrealistic proposition but I'd like to see more hands shown. You have players making decisions for lots of money and I think theyed protest wildly if the producers imposed a timer (it's not the internet).

That was Brad Booth, he does look like Dags though from certain angles.

HSP definetly needs more play time and less commercials. I mean they sometimes will come back from a commercial break, show one 3 minute hand then goto another commercial, its rediculas.

It would be awesome to see some top internet players come in and just tear up "the best players in the world". lol.
