Calling preflop is fine. Reraising would be fine too.

I am less inclined to go for a check-raise on the flop because we have no reads. Bet roughly the pot and see what happens. Your opponents may have a hard time putting you on AK specifically because of your preflop smooth call, and as a result, lower kings may pay you off.

I think maybe a reraise preflop would be better since you are out of position. It's just so hard to know where you are here. If he calls, you can probably put him on most pocket pairs, or AK.

Then you can lead out the flop and fold to a raise, because then you can be much more certain that you are behind.

With reads it would be much easier. But without reads I would proceed cautiously and wait for a better spot.

I reraise preflop and bet around 12 on the flop.

What made you freeze?

EASY bet on flop. w/ UTG in there pf raiser most likely won't bet with anything you beat, so make him pay to draw out on you.

Dunno. Wasn't sure if C/R or lead was the best option for a second.

This ended up being my thought process. I don't want this flop getting checked through at all, so I bet 13 and both folded. The end.

C/R is one of the most overrated plays. It just doesn't get paid off enough, and you run into a monster too much.

its your second hand at the table so I prefer calling to raising PF and I also like to keep it simple on the flop. I would lead for 10-12 and take it from there a checkraise is good because its one of those flops where he either has a K or he doesn't and you may win an extra bet if you let him c-bet. however, you have no way of knowing whether he will c-bet yet so I would just lead on this occassion

Not a good spot to C/R b/c we ONLY have TPTK and the board has multiple draws out there.

As played bet 12 and go from there. RR pre flop is obv fine, but w/o reads when I'm new to the table I will often call in this spot as well.

Do most people reraise here pflop? I 70%ish time call in the blinds esp. if it could be multiway as TPTK on these type drawy boards OOP I find hard to play.
