Greatest Sci-Fi Movie of All Times - Nominations
Well, last I checked Shining was ahead of Exorcist by a few handful votes. I was happy to see those two face off in the end and regardless of which one wins, it's time to move on to my all-time favorite genre - Science Fiction!
Time to nominate movies. Since many sci-fi flicks are cross-genre movies (sci-fi/horror, sci-fi/action etc.) we'll just leave it open to everyone's interpretation; if any suggestions come across as really silly we'll handle those on a case-by-case basis. The one thing I suggest is that we leave fantasy-setting movies out of this; no Lord of the Rings, no Willow. Let's hear some suggestions, and remember that I want 64 movies so nominate whatever you like, whether or not it's a serious contender. Swede |

Re: Greatest Sci-Fi Movie of All Times - Nominations
The original Star Wars trilogy has to be the greatest sci-fi of all time, not sure if you want to count those as three separate movies or not. But here's some nominations for top 64:
Blade Runner Close Encounters of the Third Kind Equilibrium The Fifth Element Ghostbusters Jurassic Park The Matrix Minority Report Pitch Black Spaceballs X-Men X2 Pirates of the Caribbean (does this qualify?) I, Robot Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire edit: Star Wars Episode III King Kong (although I haven't seen it yet, I'm guessing it should be here) |
