Default I havnt posted a hand in ages

so i havnt got any more than 30 hands on these players. but the table is playing tight in general.

CO has been noteworthy, raising light (Q9o from EP comes to mind) a few times PF (i have iso-3-bet him twice, once with AJo, once with AQo). i have also seen CO c/r a flopped flush draw and donk/3-bet a floped OESD in multi-way pots.

MP hasnt done anything i can recall.

im not sure that i got one street right in this hand...

1) PF call? im only playing 1 table right now, and was looking for excuses to get in a few pots.

2) should i be c/r this? i figure CO is betting alot of flops; draws, OCs etc. could be a good spot to protect from MP. but is there anything he holds that i want him to fold? or that he will be willing to fold? flush draws arnt folding. gutshots i want to call. and i guess by the same theory even OCs dont have the odds to call (correct?), although thats close.

3) 3-bet the turn? im pretty sure CO doesnt have a flush or straight from that card. to start with he raised PF, so he probably doesnt have 45. also he has a habit of raising flopped draws, so i dont see that either. given his habit of raising draws, i dont think it is out of his range to be raising a drwa on the turn. my idea was to call and fold to a raise from MP.

4) should i be looking for an overcall here? if the turn didnt complete some draw for MP, he isnt going to call a river bet any way. if i raise he may fold a better hand (A8 or something).

let me have it...

My grunch I would call.

You made a set, so you should see the showdown, but I wouldn't feel ahead enough here to say someone doesn't have the flush.

hm I must have used slang in the wrong way. I was under the impression that a set was anything higher then top pair.

I would fold pf. Worst position both realtive and absolute and two opps is too little. 86s is a pretty weak hand. CR the flop is my standard line. We would prefer if MP3 folds most hands like OC's. I think u can 3-bet the turn, with the reads u have. CO's most likely holding is an OP and I doubt vey much that MP3 smoth calls a flush here. As played I just call the river. Makes know sense to start raising now.

I fold this preflop. I want at least one more player before I play this.

Flop I c/r rather than bet this. After the turn raise I call down.

A set is three of a kind when you hold a pocket pair.

Edit: And in contrast to small two pair a set almost always is a very strong hand. Even bottom set often is a monster.

You have used the word 'slang' in the wrong way too. A 'set' isnt slang, rather a name for 3 of a kind (generally when you have pocket pair).

OP - fold preflop.

Check-raise the flop and go from there.

I'd ususally want more limpers before I make the call PF. It's probably a fold.

But I think the flop check-raise makes things easier to play.
