Default $40 MTT, weird preflop SB all-in, Hero has AKs in BB

No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is $200 (9 handed)

Entrants: 87 players, Starting chips: $1500, Total chips: $130500
Buy-in is actualy 40 pounds, that is rougly $40.
Average chips: $3183, Ranking: 20th out of 41 remaining players, 10 paid.

I'm playing tight, just three rounds on this particular table. I did not showdown til now.

Stack sizes:
UTG: $1532.50
UTG+1: $6487.50
MP1: $2960
MP2: $5850
MP3: $1695
CO: $2800
Button: $1680
SB: $2770
Hero: $2905

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
6 folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero raises to $800, Button calls, SB raises all-in $2770

What do you think about
1: Button's play?
2: SB's play?
3: Hero's best answer?

I have to assume they're both morons with mid pps.

Easy push, and if they have AA/KK, owell...

I would never just limp as button here. I think runout_mick's read is probably right, and anything but a push is out of the question. Don't you just hate it if donktards are rewarded for misplaying AA/KK horribly?

Anywho, 40 pounds ~= 70 dollars, assuming you're talking British pounds...

i'm not really crazy about either of their plays-- limping in will alert a good player that something's up and you probably won't get much action unless you're outflopped-- any big action you get you probably would have gotten anyway.
this is a definite call for hero, because i've seen enough bad people make this sort of play with random junk-- i was killing time with a $55 tonight and someone limp/called off 5BBs on the button with Q7s.

(I misstyped the buyin: 20 pounds so around $40).
I decide to push.

Hero raises all-in $2905, Button calls all-in $880.
Uncalled bets: $135 returned to Hero.

SB was holding 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Button was holding A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I believe that the Button play is horrible.
About the SB, it comes to my mind that it would be a viable strategy, if only he could be sure that the BB would raise. Actualy, with several late limpers, it is a standard play to raise with any two cards on BB in order to collect the blinds and callers' bets.
So the question becomes: is it an advanced play with AA to limp behind late limpers, in the hope that a late player would raise, and to reraise him ? Chances sound a bit remote to me..

No, this is a horrid donk play, unless the table is absurdly aggressive and stacks are very shallow.
