Default Live 20/40 TT hand

Live 20/40 Great game with 5 or 6 seeing every flop and some real junk being shown down.

EMP is a very good aggressive player and a good hand reader. MP is loose preflop and will often call down with any part of the flop when heads up. I probably have a TAG image.

EMP raises, MP calls, I three bet T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in the cutoff. Button and blinds call. EMP and MP call.

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

EMP bets, MP calls, I call, Button calls, blinds fold.

Turn J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Checked to me ?!? Anyone take a shot at it here? Comments on other streets? Thanks.

There's definitely a possibility that EMP made sort of a quasi-information bet on the flop, and now looks ready to give up on this hand. Of course, there are other interpretations of his action too. I'm somewhat worried about MP having us beat in spite of his passivity, but on the other hand his presence in the hand probably gives our bet more credibility.

Anyway, I'd put it like this: if you're going to overcall on the flop, part of the reason is for situations like this where the action goes limp on the turn. I'd take advantage of it and fire a bet out.

Why did you call the flop if you're not going to bet this turn?

What was your plan when you called the flop, anyway?

Like CSC said - If it was correct for you to call the flop given your opponents it has to be correct to bet the turn. The fact that you're wondering has me pretty convinced the flop call was a mistake

Am I the only one who likes folding this flop?

I can understand a flop call because the pot is pretty sweet, and if you hit a T on the turn, you can make up the extra bets, especially if EP has a strong ace.

I really hate this turn bet. There is just to much junk out there that will beat you, especially in this large pot. I still don’t know if your raising for value or to try and buy the pot.

If EMP is a good player than what hands do we put him on that you beat? If he has KQ he is not folding, and if he has anything that beats you, he is not folding. Best you will do really is fold something like 77-99

MP and button just make this even more dangerous. If mp is passive and loose than your not going to fold him out, and although you may get some value out of a hand that is worse than yours, alot of those times you will still be behind button or EMP. same for button.

So to reiterate, I don't like betting. I hope I made some sense...

um... I think every respondant has either overtly or subtly suggested that the flop was misplayed, with most implying that a fold is correct. So, no, you are not alone.

No way a fold on the flop is correct getting 20-1. I've almost got pot odds to call the flop not to mention implied odds.

The plan was to spike a ten. No way a raise will fold a better non ace hand.
