6 max vs 10 max sngs?
Hi everyone,
I didn't find anything about this in the FAQ. It seems to me like some people like to play 6 max instead of full sngs. I was wondering if this is because they are more comfortable with 6 max, or if it is really about how you only have to beat 4 guys instead of 7. You still have to outlast one third in both forms, but isn't outlasting 4 guys, instead of 7, easier somehow? And also, about the payouts. Most 6 max has a payout structure of 65%/35% whereas most 10 max has 50%/30%/20%. So if one could land ITM 40% of the time in both formats (no idea if its normally 40% in 6 max, that you should strive for), wouldn't you make more money in the 6 max, since you essentially have a 50% shot at finishing first, as compared to a 33% shot in the 10 max? Oh well, just some random thoughts. Any input will be appreciated =) |

Re: 6 max vs 10 max sngs?
I play only 6 max, and I love it because I can see more hands, and feel I can outplay people after the flop. I don't have to resort to pushbotting as early in a 6 max.
If it matters, my ITM % is 43.22. |

Re: 6 max vs 10 max sngs?
I've been playing more 6 max lately, games I play have 1st getting 75% of prize pool with 2nd getting 25%.
I haven't played anywhere near enough to even think about long term ROI or finish distribution if anyone has any samples or guesstimations please post them. |
