Default Party numbers down

At 9pm PST tonight (12 am EST) there were 62,000 players - prime time weekend night. A couple of months ago there were around 80,000+ at this time. The expected back-to-school bump never happened. Is the Monster promo wearing thin?

Party is definately gearing itself towards non-American players - there's been a huge influx of foreign players. That's why they stopped giving bonus points during odd hours - they don't need it anymore. And that's why it just says USA in the player info, not the city.

I'm afraid Party is expecting online poker to be banned in the USA.

The feds are going after online gambling for the same reason they went after Vegas casino owners in the 60's - they want a piece of the action.Under the guise of "cleaning out the mob" they handed the casinos to corporations. WASPS control the money in America. After they ban Party and its ilk, they'll probably set up "regulated" poker sites run by the big casino conglomerates (or Halliburton).

Either way, if you're an American online player, it's starting to suck.

was there a reload or bonus going on during the "couple months ago"? they have bonuses and promos all the time. However there are zero so far for the month of september.

Party is gearing itself towards non-american players because it's smart. there's not point to invest time and money into recruiting U.S. players until the senate closes. Even if they think the bill will get shut down. It would be plain negative EV to do so.

Ali's right.

You need to compare today to this time last year, not some Saturday two months ago or some Saturday in December.

OP,

I don't know what you do for a living but I hope it doesn't involve statistical analysis. One random evening isn't evidence of anything.

Right now there are 100,000 players at party. Doesn't seem like the sky is falling.

Its because players are finally starting to figure out the game is rigged. all online sites are mafia run & use manipulated software to take your money, I play live poker for a living & have for years, I also used to be the # 1 player at full tilt until they hit me with the doom switch. I can no longer win a hand anymore online, IM in their system as a winning player, so my account is coded to redistribute money back out to losing players, check out pokerconduct.com
