Default Party $200 KK raised on flop

Villain in (14,6,3.5 in around 700 hands) I have $217 and he has $185. He limps in EP, 2 more limpers to me in the SB with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I make it $12 to go and only the villain calls.

Flop J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet $25 and he makes it $50.

Whats your standard play in this situation?

I go all in. I hate min-raisers! (But thats now why I move all in)

If he has a set, whatever, I'm going broke, and if he has 9T, JK,JA,QQ, TT, I take the pot down or stack him.

I might raise a touch more PF since I'm OOP, but 12 seems ok.

Villains stats and line scream set here on this super dry flop. I probably call here and reevaluate on the turn. I don't really think a fold against this guy is a bad play either since your stats (and read?) are so solid. This villain is folding T9/KJ/AJ UTG and probably raising TT+. I'd say villains range here is almost completely a PP from 22-TT.

This would be WA/WB if the villain's postflop aggression was lower. A 3.5 aggression number is pretty high, so I'd expect him to have a jack most of the time here. You could push and take it down, or checkraise most turn cards all-in.

You might be right actually. I didn't consider his nitty 14% VPIP.

Uncomfortable position for sure..My standard line here is call the flop raise and check the turn..I want this hand to make it to showdown cheaply against this type of villain..

I do not like a reraise as it allows villain to punish us when he is ahead and get away from his hands when we are good..Also I do not think most villain here will have a set as this flop is so dry most will wait until the turn to raise..

Is this FR or SH????

Why would we do this when we put him on a J?

I think this villain would limp AJs,KJs,QJs and TJs...Whether he would call a raise from OP is read and player dependent..
