Why don\'t my cuts heal properly?
I looked online at WebMD and really couldn't find anything good about this. I have noticed in the last year or so, when I get a cut or scrape, the wound heals normally but leaves a scar that lasts for 6+ months. I'm not talking about deep cuts; just normal cuts and scratches that you get. (like hitting the corner of a desk.) I have a scar on my elbow from when I hit a tree branch back in April while camping. The wound healed in about a week, but the scar still remains. I have a couple other scars as well from superficial wounds. Has anyone experienced anything like this? This has only gone on for about the last year or 2. I am not on any medication or anything like that. I am a typical 30 year old healthy male.

Try using Polysporin or something similar on the cuts when you clean them up.

It is b/c of your blood type. Polysporin / Neosporin will help with this.

Typically the older you get, the longer it takes to heal cuts. When you turn 40 it will take even longer.
But....there could be other problems as well.... |

Re: Why don\'t my cuts heal properly?
you may have a mild form of hemophila. My youngest child had similar scar issues.
He has a mild form of hemophila, factor 8. He needs to take 'factor' if he is going to have surgery or a tooth out. A bloody nose lasts too long. |
