Default Button. Black Jacks. Turn Check.

10/20 live. passive/bad(but good for me!)table. no reads except from the rail, early orbit. sb is kind of loose and not super aggro, but i saw him make what looked like nice bluffs a couple opportunistic spots. this is not really small stakes, but it plays like the party 3/6 or something(some have a clue, some are clueless). from memory so i may miss a limper or something.

ep limps, mp limps, i raise J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]OTB, SB calls, BB folds, limpers call.

Flop(9sb):A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

checked to me, i bet, sb calls, limpers fold.

Turn(5.5bbless rake): 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

sb checks, i check intending to call any bet, and bet if checked to.

any comments appreciated.

This is probably what I would do too. If you think SB is a bluffer, I don't want to risk paying 2 on the turn or 1 and fold and forfeit my FD+set outs.

I bet and check call the river. You get an extra bet from a flush draw on this turn

I like it. If a spade doesn't fall on the turn do you bet/fold?

i've done this before, and think it works out pretty well.

this is the issue that i personally have, and hope that someone can shed some insight. what happens when you river the spade, and you get bet to? does it change whether it's the K/Q vs. any other spade?

personally, i think i'd call if it's not the K or Q, and raise if it is.

I think you played this good. I would probably bet the turn for value though, you have 2nd pair and flush draw. Betting here protects your hand.

I play this exactly the same. Notice folks that one of the hands he may check-raise the turn with is the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Just about any one pair hand he holds has five outs, so there is a little risk in this size pot - but I still like the check. It will also make you look good to him for later hands.

i don't really have any intentions of raising if a spade hits. just calling, or betting if checked to. i get 3bet more than called in that spot, i think(based on the good portion of hands i think he would donk bluff or value donk a 4th spade river with, that is).
