Default Gadil\'s theorem ??

In the dim recesses of my mind I remember a learning about the theorum that any system for describing anything must be either wrong or incomplete.


Anyone know what Im talking about ?? Im sure the name is wrong, but maybe someone will help.

Yes, I believe you are thinking of Godel's Incompleteness Theorems. There is a lot of misunderstanding among non-mathematicians about what those theorems state and what are the epistemological implications (if any). The Wiki article seems to give a good summary:
