Default Canterbury\'s Fall Classic

Is anyone going to the Fall Classic? What about locals? I live in Las Vegas and met some during the WSOP, but I don't know who is on here, etc.

I am interested in where I should stay etc. I was looking at the Canterbury Inn because it's so close and I am flying in, i.e. no car. But I am staying for 2 weeks and it will be $1100. That sounds like a lot for that place. Anybody have other suggestions or know anyone going? I am trying to figure out how to keep the most of my future profits from the best 30-60 in the country and my roommate has decided not to go after a very bad run of cards. Ideas?

The Canterbury Inn is the closest, but still a good hike to and from the card room.

With out a car, you don't really have any other options.

There are a million hotels near the Mall of America, which is only about 20 minutes or so from Canterbury.

$1100 for two weeks doesn't sound that bad to me, though. That's less than 80 bucks a night.

Might want to try Mystic Lake Casino/Resort (No poker there - slots and blackjack) Just down the road.

http://www.mysticlake.com/

If that don't work, post a reply. I live in the area and know there are some "Trucker" type strip hotels near there. Just can't recall the names right now.

I'm playing the first 4-5 events. Looking forward to it. Good luck.

I appreciate it guys, but I think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and just pay the 1100, w/o a car I won't get anywhere. It really isn't that much per night, I just wish I knew people, like said roommate, that were going to help with the cost. I could go to Cancun for $1100!!!

i just booked my room at the canterbury for the two weeks and they do have a poker rate of $57 a night. You can call the poker room to confirm but all you need is a players card or a tournament slip to show them sometime during your stay and they will give you the poker rate. At least this is what i was told, we shall see once i get up there.
