What's the best way to earn $2,000 in 127 days?

My goal is the increase my bankroll to $7,000 by May 31st. I am currently at $5,000 so I need to earn an additional $2,000. By early June they will start running satellites and contests to win an entry into the Main Event of the WSOP. I am willing to spend $3,000 to try and qualify.

I currently play up to 3 tables at a time on 2-4 or 3-6 full ring game hold’em. I have dabbled at higher limits up to 10-20, but I do not have enough hands in, to have a meaningful win rate established. I will say, I did not feel overmatched or notice a drastic improvement in the level of play of my opponents. I play at all the major poker sites.

My win rate at 2-4 has been 2.87 BB per 100 or $0.1136 per hand
My win rate at 3-6 has been 1.2 BB per 100 or $0.072 per hand.

Since I am a part time player I feel I can play 18,000 hands in the next 127 days at my current pace.

If you were me, how would you go about grinding out the additional $2,000?

A) Increase the number of tables to 4 or 5 on 2-4 to try and squeeze in more hands
B) Move to short handed games where I am comfortable at the stakes, but I can play more hands
C) Stay at 3-6 and try to improve my win rate
D) Move up to 4-8 or 5-10

UM...180,000 hands is 180 sets of 100. With a winrate at 2/4 of 2.87 BB/100. That means $2066.40 in the required time. I don't understand the question clearly. If you want to make sure you hit this mark, I wouldn't suggest SH games since the variance is a killer at times. Personally, if you really want this money, I'd add a table at 2-4.

At 2-4 it's .1136 per hand * 18,000 hands for $2,044. The problem is that there is not a lot of room for error at those stakes.

If you know your winrate will get you there, just play? Or am I missing something?

There is no real shortcut. You want to make a lot of money playing small stakes. You just gotta grind it out!

What does"bump" mean?

I'd add a table at the 2/4 level. As long as it's not a turbo table, I've found that there wasn't much difference between playing 3 and 4 tables at that limit. The extra table should decrease your variance, but be mindful not to tilt. (Gets expensive that much more quickly.)
