Default Stud8 Tourney Hand

Thoughts on this one? This was a crucial hand in the tourney. Seat 1 and 3 were both pretty aggro, other guy was a donk. I thought for a good 30 seconds on fourth.

Third is fine, of course. On fourth, I would really wish that the pot were smaller so that I could fold. I think you have to call, though. I think that all you can do after that is call along. If the action had gotten heavy, you probably would have had to have gotten out, especially with 4567 staring you in the face.

Sweeper?

Frankly, I'm just folding fourth. For all intents and purposes you're playing for half, so getting 5:1 in a donkament with one pair and a billion bets between now and showdown. Not worth it.

If we're going to fold this easily on 4th I can't imagine the 3rd street play can be anywhere near correct. Unless I'm mistaken this is a 1-table SNG?? In which case the raise will not get the hand HU often enough to be worth it.

All the WCOOP satellites I've played so far have been quite loose, especially the non-holdem ones. I'm not really sure whether this makes me like aces with a brick more or less though . I think maybe I'd make another attempt to get players out on 5th though. Then again maybe this has no shot at working, in which case maybe I'm back to just folding 3rd. People are going to call me crazy, aren't they?

I think I play it the same...its just a tough spot though.

6th is stupid and ghey but I think you gotta call because the pot is rather large.

Given the river action is certainly looks like you got half? I dunno though...you see some strange stuff in stud8 tournaments.

In a loose stud8 game I'd fold Aces with a brick without a thought.

Usually I would in a cash game, but I think in tourneys big pairs go way up in value.
