Default Rating Tournaments

Im not sure if this is the right area to post this question so if not please point me in the right direction!
Does anyone know of a book, internet site whatever that rates tournaments especially those in casinos? What i mean by this is which tournaments are the best and worst by way of which have a larger starting chip size and a slower elevating blind structure. For example if I was traveling to Atlantic City what would be the best Tournament in town.
Cheers

Not exactly. The web site for the book "The Poker Tournament Formula" has fairly extensive rankings for Las Vegas and a handful of tournaments in other areas. The rankings are based on a number called the "patience factor," which measures the speed of the tournament based on starting stacks, blind levels, and time at each level. A link on the site explains this more and, of course, the book goes into more detail. There is an Excel spreadsheet available for download on the site that allows you to plug information about any tournament you're considering playing for easy comparisons of one to another.

I hate the slow tourneys that have you waking up at the crack of dawn and then playing for like 14 hours in a row if you do well. What is the point of even being a poker player if you have to sit around all day!!! Max time of play per day should be like 10 hours IMHO.
