Stats:
MP 50/20/.7 over just 33 hands BB 35/5/1 over just 20 hands Button decent TAG 23/17/3 over about 200 hands Didn't see much from the two coldcallers, other than they called too much preflop, never saw them get out of line. Button seems to be a good player, assummed 2+2er due to a few chats in previous sessions. Haven't seen him get out of line either. Wonder if I was overthinking the hand on the turn, and made a just stupid play. I believe I know how I should have played it, just curious as to some other responses. Here we go I was unable to narrow down the buttons holdings on the turn to much I could beat. I assumed preflop it was some PPs, suited aces, and maybe some suited connectors as the table was crazy loose and could expect both blinds to come along given the mutliway action. On the flop I figured to narrow that down to KQ,KJ, some type of gutshot/flush draw and still can't dismiss the possibility that he has a nine somehow. With his turn bet I figured KQ,KJ,or a nine were his most likely holdings as there was no reasonable chance of taking this pot with a bet, and a draw would have checked. Well, the button is likely NOT coldcalling preflop with a 9 in his hand unless he's got 99. I would continue to bet the turn. There is no reason to think your hand is not best here. If you are aftraid of getting raised, you could check/call, but I think that's a weak play.
The 8 of spades gives hands like QJ and JT more outs. I would bet it. |

There is only one way to find out he has a better hand: Bet (and fold to a raise).

BB checks, Hero checks, MP checks, Button bets, BB calls, Hero folds. [/ QUOTE ] wtf are you doing? you have top pair T kicker at party 1/2. This is the most retarded super fold I've ever seen. Since one guy bets, you put him on the nuts? Bet the turn. If you check, please don't fold for one bet. |

Not good. Bet > Check/Call [/ QUOTE ] There is no check fold on this turn. As played I mean, if it's bet and raised, then I can fold. |

Pound away with bets on the flop/turn until someone says you're behind. The board is drawy as hell on the turn... you MUST bet.

Not good. Bet > Check/Call > Check/Fold [/ QUOTE ] If I did check that turn, I would not call a turn bet either, becuz I would not be able to turn down a chance to get 2-1 on my raise. Thats my way of saying I think check/raise is > Check/Call. |
