Damn converter keeps having minor problems. Anyways, here goes (no reads on UTG player):
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx BB ($27.05) UTG ($106.65) Hero ($25.45) Button ($3.33) SB ($56.65) Preflop: Hero is MP with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10. UTG calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks. Flop: ($1.10) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $1, Button goes all-in, BB folds, UTG raises to $9, Hero??? I'm putting the button on a flush draw or possibly a weak ace.. I'm thinking the UTG player has either 33 or A3. It's hard to put him on pocket aces or jacks. I guess K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is an outside possiblity, but I didn't consider that hand much.So all-in or fold? |

i'd call. You only have a buyin and the board is draw heavy. I'd expect to be ahead here more often than i'm behind. BTW I raise this preflop 100% of the time.

I call the re-raise and call his turn all-in

Yeah, I usually raise since I'm pretty aggressive, but I called to mix it up.
Why should I wait for him to put me all-in on the turn? If I decide I have the best hand and am probably ahead I think going all-in after the re-raise is fine. If I call I'm going to be left with about $16 and the pot is about $22. So if I call I'm basically committed. That's the case even if a flush card hits since that's not within the hand range I put him on. |

Raise preflop.
The large overbet could mean that he wants to end it right there. All-in seems to be best here, because you can surely expect him to call. |

I understand you wanted to mix it up, but I'm not really sure AJo is the hand you mix it up with, since it's more vulnerable.
Either way, you gotta push. I don't like waiting on the turn. If a third club comes and he pushes, you'll have a tough decision. I'm more of an advocate of getting your money in with the best of it. |
