Default TPTK c-b gets c/r

First hand post in quite a while, I don't mind how I played every street, I put this guy on Q-x the way he played, most likely KQ so the river was pretty bad for me, it also completes a straight draw for JT but I am getting great odds here and this guy is pushing his last money into the pot which can definitely give him a wider range.

I am interested in the flop and turn lines and what you think of them, do you bet more so the river is an easy call? What do you do on various turn cards and is TPTK a good enough hand to get it all in on the turn WO a FD?

I felt reluctant to 3-bet the flop as I think he may fold some of his hands to a 3-bet but will stack himself on the turn UI. I figured this way I get AI with all his hands that c/r the flop rather than the ones that want to get all in.

FWIW I was playing laggish this session with pfr stats about 28/20.

Flop bet seems weak, if you want to build a pot why not start early?
(But this is somewhat meh - the bet is big enough to give you some protection,
and small enough to entice worse hands to come along.)

Apart from that I dont know what you could have done differently.

River sucks and he isnt bluffing.
But the pot odds, the pot odds...

I really hate how pot odds force you to do the wrong thing,
i.e. calling when you know you are beat.

Because if you are behind, you get a free shot at catching up?
And being checkraised would suck?

And to induce a bluff. Idk whether my reasoning is good but that's what I would do.

Check behind on turn is awful, his almost min c/r screams of a hand we beat and his turn check validates that.

I just wondering if we should bet more so the river bet from him lays us better odds.

As for the flop, my reasoning is this :
I bet 11, he calls, pot is now 38,
I bet 30+ on the turn the river the pot is 100+ and he has less than half a PSB remaining.

The 11 gives me great odds and is enough to scare players away with mediocre holdings.

I think if we held a hand like JQ, this would be better.

I'd do this too. Flop min-check-raises are usually something big (usually, not always). I'm not that sure that we are ahead on turn so I'd like to catch my [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on river (or as put, induce a bluff from him). I don't really see how we could be ahead on river but what can we do. We are getting enormous odds. I don't really want to make a giantic pot here on turn because basically I have no clue if I'm ahead or not PLUS I have the chance to river nuts.
