Another fold in PLO8- mid set, 2nd low draw on the flop
So far I have mostly been posting folds that I think are questionable.
I'll have to go through and look for some of my bad calls. Anyway, here it is: http://www.pokerhand.org/?500622 I limp/call A883 ds preflop and fold to a check raise from the PFR'r. standard? |

That hurts just reading it. What could you possibly put him on that you're not ahead of? Sure looks like he's overplaying aces. I'm all in on that flop.

There is only one hand that has you crushed. If he has A2KK. I get all my money in. If that's what he has, then I've got another bad beat story to tell.
I added you to my player notes. If you ever call one of my bets. I'll just fold. LOL |

Niss--
This isnt just a case of the hero here betting and getting raised...He has bet and then been check-raised pot...Now don't get me wrong, I don't muck this hand for a minute, all the money is going in...But at this level you don't usually see the check raise after raising pre-flop...Usually if you take control of the hand pre-flop you have control until you either check or are raised by the other guy... This hand screams AdAx2dX or at least A2dd...Then again I don't know if our villian is a donk and like was said overplaying AAxx...But with all that being said there are just way too many hands that we are ahead of or have a decent equity with...The villian has to have a few very specific hands for us to be looking up the bad end of an oh [censored] moment... But yeah if you are folding this one, you are definitely giving away some equity here...Because what are you hoping to flop with this hand...This is probably a top 2 or 3 drawing flop for our hand...I dont know which is better for us this flop or a flop with 2 low cards and 2 cards to our nut flush... |

Re: Another fold in PLO8- mid set, 2nd low draw on the flop
If both you and the opponent were deep-stacked (~3x the buyin here given the flop action), I'd advocate only a call here to re-evaluate depending on the turn, in which case you could reasonably fold on a turn trey or high diamond to a pot-sized bet.
But for stacks of this size, even if he had up to as much behind as you did to start the hand, this action pretty easily calls for an all-in. |

[/ QUOTE ] This is the point. I believe the *only* hand that the OP is behind on this flop is A-2-K-K, which of course crushes him. He is ahead of A-A-2-4 suited diamonds and is about even with A-A-2-3 suited diamonds. This seems like a no-brainer. Tell me if I'm missing something. |
