Duckman does not want to value bet this river - should I
Villain is 55/17/1.5 over 150 hands
The king of spades is one of the worst cards to fall as it will make up a lot of 2 pair hands and completes a straight and a flush draw. Do we just value you bet and call a raise here or is there such thing as "conditional" value betting. What guidelines do you use to not value bet? Or do you auto-value bet? If raised do you fold? Yes this guy is a Lag and overplays but no bluffs are yet recorded PokerStars 5/10 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. [/ QUOTE ] Why do you say it makes up a lot of 2-pair hands? What range of hands can you put villain on such that you can say this? |

Re: Duckman does not want to value bet this river - should I
If villain got there, a lot of times he will bet out on the river for fear that you will check behind. So it's a bet. You have to get value from QJ/A9 type hands. If the villain check-raises on the river I would think about it for a while and call. He is overaggressive and KT is possible...at least 1 out of 11 times.

Re: Duckman does not want to value bet this river - should I
I bet/call the river. I can fold to a check/raise against many opponents in this spot, not this guy. About checking the river: I have AA against a retard, does it really matter what the board looks like? I bet.

Re: Duckman does not want to value bet this river - should I
duckman,
seriously? his hand range is full of 3x and he's going to call with all of them. sometimes he has a flush, god bless him when he does. I'd guess you're about a 5-1 favorite before your river bet. |
