Valid TPTK line against lag? 100nl 6 Max
Villain is about 60/20/3 after 4ish orbits. I'm viewed as a TAG most likely. Villain likes to push people around as far as I can tell, but a pot this big hasn't come up yet.
Do I raise the flop/turn here? Fold the river? I feel like a flop raise is bad, since I'm not sure villain will call a raise with much that I beat. On this board it seems much better to let villain fire away, but is this too much? Can I assign a moderately narrow range to villain ever? I tried at the time and really thought he could have anything. [/ QUOTE ] This isn't true, vs thinking aggros in blind battles I'll somtimes raise dry flops with hands that I shouldn't since they will put me on air and push back sometimes. Have to be more willing to play for stacks with solid tp hands vs aggros. Have fun with the variance. |

Have fun with the variance. [/ QUOTE ] Hooray variance. So if I had raised the flop and villain had pushed, you think calling is good? |

Looks good against this villain. I don't really see a spot you could fold. I do kinda like a flop raise though. At the very least it'll give you some control over the hand so you can check the turn/call the river if you just want to get to showdown.

I don't like it. You're only beating TPWK hands on a totally dry board. If this guy has any brains at all, he'd realize your smooth call on the flop had to mean you had something, yet he seems totally content to stack off. If he'd been double-barreling a lot, the flop and turn calls are fine, but I think the river is a fold. This hand, in a general sense, is why lagging is so profitable.

[/ QUOTE ] If you make it $22 on the flop and are able to check the turn behind, you'll have about $70 behind with a little over $50 in the middle so he probably doesn't shove that often. But even if he does shove I think you can call profitably. Raising the flop then checking the turn might induce more bluffs since your hand looks like a whiffed AK. |
