$400 NL, Stupid Call
I am pretty sure that everyone is going to agree with me when I say that this is an easy river fold. Villian is 42/14/2:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($742.09) Hero ($400) UTG ($264.38) MP ($578.34) Button ($95.44) Preflop: Hero is BB with 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
Seems like an easy fold to me, villain has a higher flush. Could be getting wacky with a flopped straight, but you can't really call that raise.

Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
Folding flushes on unpaired boards is not easy, but you have to do it.

Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
You have the worst flush possible in an un-raised blind battle. I think greed got the better of you here. You can bet this, but keep the pot size small.
I've noticed alot of people try to represent the flush in this situation, so thinking he might be trying to pick off a bluff isn't completely unreasonable. But again, keep the pot small with a mediocre hand. |

Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
I don't care for the flop bet here. Normally I would like to start to build a pot with a draw in this spot (3 way action with 1 check and one monkey) but the texture of this board AND the strength of your draw would probably lean me torwards checking. Plus if the club hits on the turn, your check will make it that much more difficult for him to put you on the flush since most draws would have bet in this spot.
I probably just call the $12 bet on the river. Who minraises the turn and then bets 20% the pot on the river? I would be too curious to lay this down as this hand may offer you some serious info into his betting patterns on future hands. As played I call. There are way too many "good" hands that he may think holds value. Straights, sets, and 2 pair hands all over the place. make a note on this outcome though as this betting pattern is so bizzare that you will be able to spot it later fairly easily. |

Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
I'm not crazy about the flop bet at all.
That being said, I'm not laying down a flush on this board especially while getting 3:1. |

Re: $400 NL, Stupid Call
Getting 3-1 against the player you describe I think this is a pretty solid call. Close, but a call.
