Default Limp-calling a push with 33

Stupid, genius, or meh?

Stars 20/180.

UTG+1 has been limping regularly as well as much of the table so I come along with 3's...

Standard, there's a ton of dead money in that pot and you will be 55/45 fav at least half the time...

Why would you see him? It's a race at the least, and could well be an overpair.

I'd guess AK-A9 tho.

There's t825 of dead money + t1840 push = t2665 and it's t1690 to call - you get great odds on what is a coinflip agains the pusher's range (A2+, 22+, any 2 broadway, and suited connectors, etc. People do this move with all kinds of junk.)

Yeah. Looking at Button's stack size and the fact there were numerous limpers, he's likely got a decent racing hand. Include QJs+, KQo+, Axs, ATo+ all pairs in his range. It's probably a little tighter than that though.

Fair enough. But I'd stay out of coinflips that cut into 1/3-1/2 my stack while I'm still around M=20 myself. Yah, weak tight.

I agree. No need to gamble here.

These don't sound like very good odds. So half the time we're racing with extra chips in the pot, the other half of the time we're dominated looking to catch one of our 2 outs.
