Default I suck, but I want to learn

I am just a tournament donk looking to learn how to play deep stack poker. I know I am horrible, I can't even beat .10/.25. The only way I know to get better is post some big pots I lost, so here we go. I am posting the last 4 pig pots I lost, all of which I have a big hand busted. I am posting these not because I want sympathy, but because this is where I am losing most of my money, notice I am getting in bad too often.

I had just raised 4 of the last 6 hands so my image was garbage.

I realize that these are bad beats, but I am losing more money lately with my big pairs than any other hands, so I must be messing something up. Please help. I will be gone this weekend, but will reply next week. Thanks for any insight.

How'd you lose the last one, you had the stone cold nuts?

Seems like you are playing fine imo.

AA vs KK happens. Did you bet the flop in hand #3?

The only hand I would get away from here is the last hand. Otherwise, there's a section on this forum called "Beats, Brags, and Variance."

edit: and you should've potted the flop on the 2 diamond board with aces

It looks like the last one you won...though it was lucky. On that hand you know to know he has something strong with he 4bets all-in. That usually ALWAYS means at least 2 pair.

On the 3rd hand you need to bet the flop. You are letting someone chase their flush draw (though they didnt have it). Giving up free cards when the pot is getting large isn't a good idea. Taking the pot down on the flop still would have been a good win. Dont always try to double up when you have AA or KK

First 2 are fine, the 3rd one you have to bet the flop (I like a $11-13 bet, close to pot size). The 4th one you won, I don't mind how you played it, provided you had no meaningful read on villain

If you realize these are just bad beats, why'd you post them? My advice would be to get together some interesting hands that involve meaningful decisions and post those. Good luck in your transition to cash game!

These hands are mostly bad beats so its hard for us to help you improve. Generally speaking though, I'd suggest you start with Full Ring games first just to get used to and comfortable with playing a very disciplined (and maybe boring) ABC TAG game.

At these levels, ABC TAG nut peddling is good enough.

Anyway, post some hands and/or strategy questions. Hope you have thick skins as 2p2ers are a tough crowd!
