Ahh, the Commerce...

I'm down in LA to play some tournaments that are part of the Cal State poker championship that's running now. Before last night's tournament the TD issued some guidelines:

Knocking cards off the table, whether accidently or on purpose will result in a 20 minute penalty.

Dealer abuse, including throwing chips, cards, chip racks or *chairs* at the dealer will also result in a 20 minute penalty.

It's nice to see the Commerce finally cracking down on dealer abuse, before you would only get a warning if you busted a dealer's head open with a chair.

And its mostly a wretched hive of scum and villany because I busted on third hand of tournament grrr...

I think you deserve at least one reply just because I like the thread title.

Anyway, I thought that the LA rooms had cleaned up a lot of this stuff. Last time I was at Commerce a couple of years ago dealers were calling the floor over regularly because of abuse directed at them and the floor was being stern with the offending players.

Throwing cards at the dealer for a 20 min penalty is -EV. Make it a chair for the same 20 mins off.

I especially like that accidently knocking cards off the table, and throwing a chair at the dealer are the same level of offense.
