ballpark tipping
If you are at a baseball game and you buy a hot dog from a vendor who is walking around the stands, should you tip?

Re: ballpark tipping
i would have never thought to tip here just like i dont tip at mcdonalds, but i could easily be wrong.
editted to add that i would go to the next dollar but just for not wanting change, if it was 3 even i wouldnt tip, 275 or 250 id pay 3. |

Re: ballpark tipping
In my experience most people do tip at least rounding up the cost to the next dollar, sometimes adding another dollar or two.

Re: ballpark tipping
I usually tip, but I'm a season ticket holder, so there are long-term benefits for such things. If you can't spare the money, you shouldn't be buying a dog at the yard anyway. Brown bag it and spare yourself a little embarrassment.

Re: ballpark tipping
It didn't used to be a tipping job, I don't think. But nowadays anyone who can tape a label on a jar is asking for tips. At least the vendors in the stands shlepped something right to your seat. I don't think they expect tips, though. They seem pleasant enough when you stiff them.
