Turbo Tournaments: How quick is too quick.
I'm currently playing on the Hollywood site, and I am playing the $11 SnG turbos. I know smart play will make this type of tournament less of a crap shoot but often times there are 6-8 people left when the blinds are 200-400. (Chip structure similiar to Poker Stars, starting $1500, 10 players)
The blinds go up every 3 minutes plus the site is a bit slow at times. Is this too fast? Can i expect the swings to be unbelieveable? Any suggestions about strategy? (other then typical pushbot low level SnG) |

same deal, the situations will just arise faster...dont miss the +EV pushes (as you cant afford to pass them up even for image purposes really)...dont be afraid to get the money in as a slight favorite, every hand counts (in general this is true but even moreso in a situation as you describe here). gl.

I play about half of my SNG's on Pokerroom and skins, and play almost exclusively turbos these days. I've got an ROI of 16% over 350 54's, almost all turbos. I've also got good numbers at lower levels, so I'd have to say that, while sometimes insane, the PR turbo's are eminently beatable.

[/ QUOTE ] haha im not really back, i just got bored of nl cash so i played a bunch of 530 regs on party and a few 1k regs on stars. ill prolly work some in a bit more than i am now just so i can stay a bit fresh with current players etc, but im in no way going to be pounding out 500 a week. maybe 100 a month [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] holla |
