Cautiously approaching a return to the games;
Last weeks raping left my ass in flames.
Never before had I dropped so low;
A few thousand FPP points was all I had to show.

August started with endless prosperity;
But then even booking a win became a rarity.
September will be different! I have to keep hope;
Or soon my life may end with the tightening of a rope.

The game has become stale, my style, unconfident;
A shame to think that I was once brilliant.
Is there a way out of this nightmare called poker?
Or am I enslaved for life, as is a smoker.
