Default Nobody Knows Nothing------CDS\'s NFL PICKS

So says William Goldman

I used to bet a full Unit but in part because I have +3K tied up at Mansion and also because its a crapshoot...I'm going to go with $50=unit.
Take it for what you will..sometimes I'll explain my thinking..sometimes I won't...cuz I'm lazy--but I'll be betting every week so we'll see how I do.

NFL WEEK 1 PICKS: 0-0-0 +0 Units

Eagles -4 vs. Hou: : 4.5 Units
In my opinion everyone is selling the Eagles incredibly short this year. I already have a juice free bet with AF on this baby so its my Sell Your Grandma Down The River pick of the week. They've looked great and have been in synch on offense so far and are completly healthy unlike last year. They added a legit WR threat opposite Reggie Brown and thus LJ Smith is gonna be wide open up the middle on many plays.

HOU has a new coach and new offensive system that they are still trying to learn. They also have a 6th round pick starting as their runningback.

SEA/DET UNDER 45.5: 1 Unit
21-14 final score

NEW YORK GIANTS +3.5 : 1 Unit
NYG got better, Indy got worse. Giants are at home.

SD/OAK OVER 43: 1 Unit

temted but still not sure

WASH -4.5-- 1 Unit

GOOD LUCK ALL...

I think that looks good. I agree with you on the eagles 100%. I think they are the pick of the week as far as the NFL is concerned. The BSP's can be right sometimes can't they?

Yes...AZ vs. SF I can understand as a Cards fan and Packers vs. Chi I can see going either way...
I cant even remember the last time the Cards won the first game of the season.

Seriously if they win the first game its a omen...Cards will be going to the playoffs lol.

I actually think the Broncos will cover but the other bets are better.

I think the Patriots have something like that at QB. What losers.

Yes but the Patriots had an Oline and a defense. Houston has neither
The Broncos have an undrafted free agent who will be starting at RB and will probably go for 1000+ yards for the season. Houston is not Denver...despite having Kubiak.

I'm really not sure how everyone is jumping the Detroit/Seattle under. And I'm REALLY not sure why if you think Seattle will only put up 21. Have you guys not seen the Detroit defense? In particular the run defense? It has improved..but not enough to stop SA from shredding them. I will be really shocked if it is under by more than a point or two.

I'm avoiding it, but if I had to, I'd certainly bet the over.
