You didn't want to fold AJo but you can't cold call so you tried to take the initiative and raised. Then he capped and you're like [censored] that sucks. You peel the flop for the ace and when it doesn't hit you fold the turn. Looks fine. I guess fold preflop but I don't hate raising that much.

Except for the turn play which is a definite fold IMO. Every decision you made in this hand is close. Against an UTG raise I actually fold AJo preflop, but some say this is too tight.

yeah, that's what i wished i did, obviously. by saying my ego needs fixing it wasnt so much that i wanted you all to say "standard." i wanted to see "fold preflop you idiot." i really just need to become tighter with these hands against ep raises, even if they are slightly +ev, because i tilt like a rabid monkey.

I made up of default loose, tight, and extra-loose preflop 3betting ranges. Obviously it's best to look at each hand's merit individually wrt each situation but I just remember to use my tight 3betting range against non-crazies in UTG and UTG+1

I would fold AJ preflop here with his stats. If you had a read that he raises looser, your 3B is fine. I do not like your post flop play. After you raise and he caps PF, I would have simply folded to the flop bet. What are you hoping to hit? Versus his capping range, what can you beat? You have to basically hope he has a pocket pair under Jacks but there are a LOT more hands he holds here that have you badly beat or dominated.

Based only on the stats provided, I reraise this preflop also. I would need more info about villain's post-flop play to turn that into a fold.

Without a read, I lean towards folding the flop.

fold preflop you idiot

reverse implied odds yadda yadda yadda

we can't get action on the ace and the jack is too vulnerable. we probably wont win unimproved. I dont like playing here. you need him to have a wide range.
