Default 10/20 Deep River C/R Bluff vs. strong player

10/20 6 Handed on Prima. Villain is a good Scandinavian player. We respect each other's game and don't tangle too much. I start hand w/ $3800 and villain covers.

I open J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] f/ the CO to $70. Villain calls on button. Everyone else folds.

Flop Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (170)

I bet $150. Villain calls.

Turn 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (470)

I bet $400. Villain calls.

River 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (1270)

I check. Villain bets $750. I raise all-in for $3200.

Trying to get him to fold a queen, huh?

It might work. But still I like this line a lot more with the nuts instead of a bluff - I don't think the 'Zeebo Theorem' is as rigid as people think it is, especially not this deep, but it still applies.

When villain calls on turn what are you putting him on? I don't think villain has the naked Ah or a lower PP than the Q to justify this push. When villain calls turn his hand smells something like KhQx which calls your push often, imo. Would you every go for river CR with AA/KK there? It would be pretty sick, but I'd think you'd just pot it on the river with those hands, too.

I think a river CR with AA/KK is fairly standard against aggressive opponents.

As for the hand, I like it. I mean, you're obviously screwed if this is the one time he was slowplaying a set on this board, but barring that, a decent player should give you credit here pretty often.

I don't see a naked Q calling this ever with the size of the c/r - it should be enough to make him lay it down. fwiw, when I do this they usually have the 6, though.
