Re: Monster Is a Good Thing
How is taking extra rake keeping the fish alive? How is taking them out of games and into "multi-million" tournaments they have no hope of placing in helpful?
Party was built up through bonuses and promotions - as long as you were willing to put in the hours, you got rewarded regardless of level. Maybe some fish were so bad, they busted out before they could collect a bonus. Party has forced all cash players above a certain level to contribute to a tournament they might not be interested in. This hurts everyone. Turning the entire site into a giant lottery is not good for poker. Party makes upwards of a million dollars a day profit - they could easily find some other way to give fish incentive. Taking it out of the pockets of long time players is outrageous and very foolish in the long run. |

Re: Monster Is a Good Thing
I never paid too much attention to the monster stuff but how is it taking more money out of cash game players' pockets? We're not paying any more rake than what we used to (still capped at $3/hand for NL tables).
