I have not made my bet or my hedge bet yet on Pitt. -2.5 now-what now?

Just wanted to start some discussion for those who have not yet made a Mansion bet or a hedge. I have 600 ready at Pinnacle for a hedge, but stupidly didn't make the bet yet. So now with the injury, what does everyone think my position will be?

No hedge possible? One possible but much less profitable? Forego the hedge entirely and gambool?

The line is now Miami -2.5 at Pinnacle, and I would imagine it'll be the same when Mansion opens the betting tomorrow. I'm a sports betting noob and would appreciate any advice from experienced people.

If you want to hedge it..you have to bet the game again thru a person not living in the same household. Lets say your friend, you bet the mansion bet and immediately bet approx half the amount at another book on the same line on miami.

well this is against the T&C's and then there is a risk of getting all money seized..... so thats a decision everyone makes on their own.

Now without gnoming this there is not a resonable way to hedge a -5 bet on Pitt right now.

For N0obs, sportsbooks do make half time lines. So say at halftime Pitt leads 14-9. So in other words with the line the game is tied for us. The half time Line may be Miami +5. You could then bet Miami for the second half.

In this example that leaves a few scenarios:

Pitt again outscores Miami in the second half by more then 5(ie wins by more then 5) You lose your hedge, and win the Mansion bet.

Pitt outscores Miami in the second half by 1-4 points (best thing). You win your half time hedge, AND the Mansion bet.

Miami outscores Pitt in the second half: You win your halftime hedge, lose Mansion bet.

Now this is a simple example since the halftime line and game line match up, and because the halftime score makes it an even game. But hopfully you get the idea. Just make sure you take a second and figure all of the possibilities to make sure you don't leave a gap and lose both bets.
