Slow Playing Quads?

I watched this guy push alot. I seen one showdown he had pushing with nothing. I played this hand according to that. He was shortstacked and I was hoping he'd hammer me on the river. Did I over do the slowplaying with this hand? I was pretty sure he had nothing and I would of lost him.
