How to win at Omaha High-Low by Mike Cappelletti is the worst poker book I have ever written.

In addition to spelling errors and over-simplified, bad advise, the second half feels like he is padding a highschool term paper for length as he goes into stories of hands he has played where he has outsmarted drunk people.

Omaha Hold Em Poker: The Action Game is worth reading. Anybody read the recent reprint to see if there were any changes? Also, the chapter in PL/NL poker by caffione/rueben is must reading for deeper stack play.

There's a thread lurking in the archives from April or May on the reprint. I think the consensus is that it is worth owning (and there are some PLO changes).

OP:
For a beginning player, I'd definitely recommend learning the basics and mechanics of the game...you can probably get this off the web.
Also:
PLO chapters in Hellmuth and the Super Systems
Flip through Cloutier's PLO book in the bookstore

Intermediate play
1. Reuben: How good is your Pot Limit Omaha
2. Ciaffone's book.
(3. I'd guess that Rolf's book will be added to this list.)
