Why I think online poker IS rigged.
They rig online poker because they have to to survive.
Some people think they rig it out of greed, to maximize rake, but that's not true. Do you really think they can allow expert players to hop on multiple tables at 70 hands per hour and win all the money from the recreational players? The recreational players would quickly get discouraged and quit. These people, who want to play every hand they are dealt, are the vast majority of the online sites business and any site that doesn't rig the game so they can stay in it will go bankrupt in no time. A business must cater to the vast majority of its customers. Not to a small minority. After playing online try playing live at a real casino. You will quickly notice some odd differences. For example, people who play every hand they are dealt, lose their chips and have to buy more instead of you losing your chips to them. I swear I've seen it with my own eyes. |
