Default SSNLHE Player needs advice

Ok, I am a profitable low limit player. I have been playing for about 2 years. i am slightly above break even at cash games but 2 wins in the Bodog 2k guarantee and some good live 1/2NL sessions have me up a pretty good clip. But i have a TERRIBLE bb/hr ratio.

On to my dilemna: I have a rakebake dealwith full tilt and i would like to use the rakeback towards impoving my game.

Would you get a Cardrunners subscription or pokertracker and poker ace HUD?

I want to improve my cash game, i feel like i have hit a plateau. I would like to improve my game all around but cash in particular.

I think poker all the time, iam on the forums(cardplayer, here, 2p2). Unfortunately talk poker to myself since i hae no poker playing freinds/aquaintances.

Buying both a subscription AND the software is not an option at present with a new house and a baby on the way, i have only so much money i am willing to commit to poker.

Thanks in advance guys, i appreciate ANY input.

the software is highly useful. almost 100% of winning players use it. get PT and the free GT+ or get the PA hud (better). i dont know what cardrunners is, but its probably not very worthwhile

cardrunners is great, but pokertracker > CR.

learning from your own mistakes while keeping a detailed record of your session history is priceless.

Definitely go with HUD, or at least pokertracker. It just makes sense to use such powerful tools. Magazines and thi like are not where you want to go for assistance, just start establishing some stats and bring your questions back here.

I'd definitely get PT and PAHUD before thinking about getting a CR subscription. CR is excellent and I'm a member so don't think I'm putting it down with this post but I don't think its as useful to players trying ot move from breakeven to winning.

Probably better than either of these options is really getting involved in the forums. Post a couple of hands every day and comment on as many threads on here as you possibly can. And by commenting I don't mean posting "fold preflop" but stating what you would do and why. Ask questions when you don't understand. Really get involved.

I would actually go for CR.

If you watch the videos, you can pretty much differentiate your play from their play. Therefore you would probably see some hands which you might play this way, but the pros play that way. This alone can tell you some of your leaks. Personally I thinkt he videos are very good because no matter how many books you read, you gota see the actions being taken.

as for PT, its necessary as well for winning players. why don't you get CR, get PT from from PSO (for free), and use GT+ for HUD display. hope this helps.

that's pokersource online, an affiliate that gives you free things rather than rakeback. if you think you'll play at a site for a significant amount of time rakeback is worth far more than a oneoff gift imo.

I would go for pokertracker, easy choice. download the free trial and try it first.
