Default Help me get cross country

I'm supposed to move cross country here in a few weeks, and I have no idea how I'm going to travel. The obvious answer is just take a plane and be done with it, but I'm a giant wuss and am terrified to fly. I've flown in the past and it's done nothing but make my fears worse.

So, I thought about driving. Driving for 30 hours would suck, and I really don't want to take my car out there either. I had intended to just buy a new one once I got settled in. Not to mention I hate driving on freeways and all you idoits doing 90mph thinking you're Ricky Bobby.

So...my options are getting slimmer. Take a train? Has anyone had any expierence riding one? How long of a trip was it etc. A bus would be pure hell i'd imagine.

Please help me get to San Diego, or stop being such a vaginia

I've never been on a train, but you should do that if you can't man up and take a plane. You're less likely to die in the sky than you are in a car. (Nice rhyme.) A bus is pure hell in the states. I had to take a two hour bus ride once. It's a really [censored] experience.

Man up and fly. Or get a Xanax prescription and fly.

Yeah, I've been toying around with the idea of taking a train. Are they safe? Comfortable? Smooth ride?

Oh btw it says from Chicago to LA is 86 hours, there is no way that is right...right?

you're prolly more likely to die in a train wreck than a plane.

I feel your pain as I HATE to fly, but going cross country in a train would SUUCK. Get a prescrip for some xanex or something, suck it up and spend 5 hours on a plane, it will beat the hell out of 2 days driving or train riding. Bus shouldnt even be an option

i know the statistics or whatever shows flying is ultra safe but the fact that I'm on the ground in a train makes 10000x difference
