I'm supposed to move cross country here in a few weeks, and I have no idea how I'm going to travel. The obvious answer is just take a plane and be done with it, but I'm a giant wuss and am terrified to fly. I've flown in the past and it's done nothing but make my fears worse.
So, I thought about driving. Driving for 30 hours would suck, and I really don't want to take my car out there either. I had intended to just buy a new one once I got settled in. Not to mention I hate driving on freeways and all you idoits doing 90mph thinking you're Ricky Bobby. So...my options are getting slimmer. Take a train? Has anyone had any expierence riding one? How long of a trip was it etc. A bus would be pure hell i'd imagine. Please help me get to San Diego, or stop being such a vaginia |

I've never been on a train, but you should do that if you can't man up and take a plane. You're less likely to die in the sky than you are in a car. (Nice rhyme.) A bus is pure hell in the states. I had to take a two hour bus ride once. It's a really [censored] experience.

Man up and fly. Or get a Xanax prescription and fly.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I've been toying around with the idea of taking a train. Are they safe? Comfortable? Smooth ride? Oh btw it says from Chicago to LA is 86 hours, there is no way that is right...right? |

you're prolly more likely to die in a train wreck than a plane.
I feel your pain as I HATE to fly, but going cross country in a train would SUUCK. Get a prescrip for some xanex or something, suck it up and spend 5 hours on a plane, it will beat the hell out of 2 days driving or train riding. Bus shouldnt even be an option |
